Hi! I'm Andrew, and I'm the owner of Wandering Eye. I hope that you like the various galleries on this website - there's something for (almost) everyone...

Where does the name "Wandering Eye" come from? Well, it's not too cryptic - it's because I'm at my happiest when wandering aimlessly through the great outdoors, with my camera in hand!

I've been interested in photography ever since I was knee high to a tripod, when I first discovered my dad's camera bag - full of SLR bodies, lenses, film canisters, light meters and other exotic contraptions... I was fascinated, and had great fun playing with them (even without any film loaded!). I've continued to enjoy playing with cameras throughout my life, using the Nikon DSLR F-mount system for a decade or so, before arriving at my current Sony Alpha mirrorless setup.

My favourite subjects are wildlife and landscapes, and I'm a total sucker for a water-based long exposure shot! I'm also an occasional drone pilot, which is good fun despite adding a tricky third dimension into the compositional equation...
